Diagnostic Testing

MRI scan:  consultation, examination and referral costs £120. Payment for the scan will be issued to the patient by the provider, for one body area the cost is typically around £450.

FunctionalDX blood testing: extensive blood testing, costs vary.

GI Effects Comprehensive

This is a dense stool profile providing information on the following markers:

Digestion and absorption markers to assess how well the patient is digesting and absorbing nutrients. Inflammation markers to gauge immune suppression or over activation to parasites, allergies etc.

Microbial metabolites from bacterial fermentation as insight to adequate dietary fiber intake

PCR of commensal gut bacteria to assess balance of dysbiosis patterns.

Bacterial and fungal culture showing any additional microorganism growth and potential pathogenicity.

Microscopic analysis of parasites such as worms and protozoa.

PCR of infectious protozoa.

Cost £420

NutrEval

The NutrEval is both a blood and urine profile that evaluates over 125 biomakers and asses the body's functional need for 40 antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, digestive support and other select nutrients. Personalised recommendations for nutrients are determined by using an algorithm based on your patient's test findings. Functional pillars with a built in scoring system guide the need for therapeutic support in areas of methylation, toxic exposure, mitochondrial dysfunction, fatty acid imbalances and oxidative stress.

SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)

A breath test assessing hydrogen and methane gases to evaluate for SIBO or intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO).

Gut symptoms such as bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation are common with these conditions.

Metabolomix+

The Metabolomix+ provides analysis of key nutritional biomarkers using non-invasive first morning void urine collection with optional add-on bloodspot finger stick and buccal swab.

It is similar to the NutrEval but can be collected entirely at home.

Methylation Panel

The methylation Panel offers insight into the biochemical methylation pathway. Methylation metabolites are measured using plasma and whole blood and genetic single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are analyzed via buccal swab.

Methylation is important for detoxification, mood, cardiovascular health and energy production.

Adrenal Stress Profile

The Adrenal Stress Profile (ASP) provides an assessment of the Hypothalamic-Pituatary-Adrenal (HPA) axis using carefully timed salivary samples are the hormones cortisol and DHEA. Imbalances in adrenal hormones can have a wide range of consequences including fatigue, mood disorders, weight issues and cardiovascular disease.

One Day Hormone Check

The One Day Hormone Check is a salivary collection that provides information about the impact that shifting hormone levels can have in men and women. It can reveal imbalances of primary sex hormones and how they relate to other hormones such as DHEA, cortisol and melatonin.

Thyroid Plus

Thyroid Plus is a hormone profile that provides a thorough analysis of thyroid hormone metabolism. It includes central thyroid gland regulation and activity, thyroid production and secretion, peripheral thyroid conversion and thyroid autoimmunity.

Food sensitivity+

Our Antibody Assesments are blood tests that measure antibodies to commonly consumed foods as well as certain environmental antigens. We offer 7 profiles to mix and match. Identifying specific triggers can help tailor treatment plans.

Coeliac Profile

Aids in diagnosis of Coeliac profile is a blood test that uses widely accepted immunological biomarkers to aid in the diagnosis of Coeliac diesease (CD).

Alzheimer's Assesment

Genova's Alzheimer's Assessment measures plasma p-Tau217, a specific protein identified as a reliable biomarker to aid in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease (AD). This assay helps detect AD pathology, including extracellular amyloid-beta plaques and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles of hyperphosphorylated tau (p-tau), before the onset of clinical symptoms.

Smaller gut profiles:

GI Effects Fundamentals

This profile is a stool test containing the following markers:

Digestion and absorption markers

Inflammation markers

Bacterial and fungal culture

£220.00

GI Microbial Ecology

This profile is a stool test and looks at two main functional areas: the total gut microbiota balance and possible infection.

With the fecal lactoferrin add on at £50 it can also give an insight into gastrointestinal inflammation.

It's composed of the following:

PCR Commensal bacteria balance

Microscopic analysis of parasites

Bacterial and fungal culture

PCR of infectious protozoa

£230

GI Gut Pathogen

This profile looks at possible gut infections and contains the following analysis

PCR of infectious protozoa
